It DID snow.
It is supposed to snow tonight. Well, it did but it was just flakes that don’t stick and amount to inches of snow.
If it actually snows the 4 inches they are predicting I will post pictures!
I’m both excited and afraid of the possibility of this happening because snow is pretty to visit but I’m not sure about actually living with it surrounding you when you are used to palm trees and the only snow for miles being in a cone.

The DFP 
I had never seen snow until I was 23 years old and moved to the East Coast (native California girl). Aside from a little bit of crunchy white stuff that accumulated in the playground when I was in nursery school, it was all new to me. The first time around in Connecticut, it was a beautiful winter wonderland. Unfortunately, the second time around, it was followed by this odd phenomenon known as an “ice storm,” which was also new to me. I was basically unclear on the concept that ice is slippery. Hence I fell in the middle of the street and fractured my wrist.
Lesson: STAY INSIDE all winter! Or get someone to carry you. Or get a dog-sled. Or a flexible flyer so that you can just sit down and skid around campus (my preferred option, even today). Dining hall trays work well for that, too. Hope you get some pretty snow!
Yeah, I experienced slippery ice today, needless to say I’m buying those weird traction thingies you put on your shoes.

There are no more rumors as to when it will snow again, which is a-okay with me because I’m pretty sure I’m not that much of a fan of the stuff. At least not when I can’t walk in it and am shivering like crazy because I still have to buy thermals!
Just remember to make sure your base layer is made of synthetic fibers or wool- cotton is the last thing you want. Cotton will just absorb the sweat and not allow it to evaporate, thus, increasing your risk of hypothermia and/or generally feeling less than warm. I also highly recommend getting yourself some http://www.sierratradingpost.com/SmartWool-Socks.html –yes, they’re expensive. Believe me, your feets will thank you.
I still want the Saint Bernard though. All ye who still haven’t sent me a care package take note.

Where are you, Alex, that there is already snow on the ground? We haven’t even gotten any in Michigan yet, which is kind of shocking. We’ve just gotten a lot of rain so far.
